SAFETY DECALS NAMED ONE OF THE "BEST ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPANIES IN AMERICA" BY ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE'S 2018 ENTREPRENEUR360 LIST
Safety Decals was recently recognized as one of the “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America” by Entrepreneur magazine’s Entrepreneur360™ List, a premier study delivering the most comprehensive analysis of private companies in America. Based on this study forged by Entrepreneur, Safety Decals is recognized as a well-rounded company that has mastered a balance of impact, innovation, growth leadership and value.
“We are honored and humbled to be recognized on the 2018 Entrepreneur360™ List. Our focus remains on quality and service in everything we do. We have built our success on these core values and that is why, as a third-generation family-owned-and-operated company, we are happy to continue to serve our global community,” said Nick Tykoski, owner and CEO of Safety Decals.
“Our annual evaluation of vetted data offers a 360-degree analysis of top privately-held companies across a multitude of industries,” explains Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur Magazine. “They are deemed successful not only by revenue numbers, but by how well-rounded they are. The companies that make the list have pushed boundaries with their innovation ideas, fostered strong company cultures, impacted their communities for the better, and increased their brand awareness.”
Safety Decals is a third-generation family-owned company in the Tykoski family. Nick Tykoski’s grandfather began the small business in 1947, and 71 years later Safety Decals, a division of Tye’s Incorporated, now supplies companies throughout the world. With a significant growth since 2015 Safety Decals continues to focus on innovation in the competitive printing industry while remaining one of the largest decal manufacturers in the world, producing millions of decals monthly.
Honorees were identified based on the results from a comprehensive study of independently-owned companies, using a proprietary algorithm and other advanced analytics. The algorithm was built on a balanced scorecard designed to measure five metrics reflecting major pillars of entrepreneurship – innovation, growth, leadership, impact and business valuation.

As our business grows so does our team. We've announced the hiring of several new team members this year and are excited to announce a couple more that have joined our Production department!
Amber is currently working part time with our production team and has jumped right in learning the process and taking care of some key customer orders. Amber has done a great job and has shown her flexibility as she helps in whichever area of the department that is needed.
Prior to Safety Decals Amber was a stay at home mom to 4 boys! As her children returned to school Amber was eager to go back to work. Prior to staying home with her children she worked five years in a production-factory position.
Amber is a mother to her 4 amazing boys: Noah, 9 years old; Ethan, 8 years old; Kyle, 5 years old; and Isaac, 2 years old. As you can imagine the boys keep Amber very busy outside of work but that is what she enjoys doing most!
Joe also is new to our production team and brings a unique perspective of leadership to the department.
Joe served in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 20 years performing Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement and Immigration on the Atlantic, Pacific Oceans, the Caribbean and waters of Alaska and the Great Lakes.
After finishing his career in the Coast Guard, Joe took a position of the Lead Officer at Mason County Animal Control, where he spent 10 years enforcing domestic animal laws and running the Shelter for stray and unwanted dogs and cats.
Joe's passion has always been the outdoors. Even before joining the service, he loved fishing so much that he started First Mating on a salmon charter at 14 years old. He got his Captains license at 18 and still after 30+ years he runs charters during the spring and summer months in his free time.
When not running charters you'll find him on the lake fishing himself. He's had many Chinook Salmon over 30 pounds and a Brown Trout that tipped the scales at 30.8 pounds! If he's not out chasing salmon, you can still find him on the ice or in the woods perusing deer, small game and game birds.
Joe has 2 wonderful kids. His daughter Diane is pursuing a career in the medical field and his son, Joe, works in the oil fields. His girlfriend, and better half, Wendee, can be found beside him on most of his outdoor activities and he couldn't have a better person to enjoy it with!
